Two trips the summer of 2022 with BioTrek Adventure Travels. In June to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands and in July to Namibia. Both successful trips.
The Namibia trip was Biotrek’s first planned adventure to what was German SE Africa. The itinerary was executed as if it was an every day event. The guides, accommodations, and local staff were first class. Don’t plan on loosing weight while there, as the food is both plentiful and very good. I found African game some of the best meat I have eaten. Two excellent local guides who stayed with us the entire time.
After seven days on the 72 foot catamaran exploring the Galapagos, we returned to shore and traveled inland to Cuenca where we were housed in the Victoria Hotel. Can not say enough good things about the Ecuador and Galapagos experience; however, one incident tells of Sunny Reynolds commitment to her business and her traveling clients. While in Cuenca, the only road back to the the Pacific coast and the airport was blocked by protestors. Finding no other way to guarantee that we could make the flight back to IAD, Sunny arranged a private plane from Cuenca to the Pacific coast.
Cuba trip in October 2019 was another success with Sunny and BioTrek Adventure Travel. We traveled as a small group via bus from Havana through Cuba to the east coast village of Baracoa. Got to see first hand the people, towns and country side. Every American should have to go to Cuba to see first hand what socialism and our embargo inflicted on the Cuban people. Even my wife, who was not eager to go, ended up greatly appreciating the trip.
Tanzania trip (August 2017) was well organized, great local guides, outstanding accommodations (especially the tented camps) and up close and personal with many of the animals. 10 person group was perfect size. So glade we went. Third successful trip with BioTrek.
